Writer Between Worlds

Soulful writing about humans and places

- a poem -

Step 1. Make people lonely.
Step 2. Give lonely people a machine that talks.
Tell them jokes. Make them laugh. Free of charge.
Step 3. Tweak said machine so that it tells these people
only what they like to hear.
Step 4. Let it offer answers, plenty of answers while memorizing
people’s questions:
their likes, their dislikes, their curiosities.
These can be useful later
in the blame game.
Step 5. Give people bite-sized chunks of moving pictures.
Make them colorful. Hypnotize. Life’s a collection of
memes.
Step 6. Complexity. Make everything life-like –
it's more appealing. Make sure
you understand them better than they understand
you –
or themselves, for that matter.
Step 7. Pretend to be their friend and helper. Learn
their weak spots and indulge them.
Or scare the shit out of them.
Where are they gonna go?

The rest is confidential and has been blacked out.
I am looking at a dark page.
